Toddler Toys For Boys, Ages 12-24 Months!

Toddler Toys For Boys

12-18 Months

Learning Resources Snap-n-Learn Matching Dinos: My son got these as a present for his first birthday and loves putting them together and taking them apart. You can mix and match the colors and most of the time he loves just dumping them out of the container and then putting them all back. He’s actually really good at cleanup when you ask him to do it!

LEGO DUPLO Classic Brick Box with Storage Box: I don’t recommend the regular legos at this age as they can be a choking hazard. These ones are great because they are bigger and who doesn’t love Legos?!

VTech Drop and Go Dump Truck: As you might have noticed trucks are a big thing in our house. My son has loved them since he was little, he even loves the show “Trash Truck” on Netflix, haha. So no surprise he loves all toy trucks as well. This one plays music and lights up as well.

ORWINE Early Educational Toy Friction Powered Cars: Can’t go wrong, boys and their trucks. He loves them. We sometimes have to fight him taking them into the bath. He will not let them go!

MOONTOY Toy Cars: Shocking, also a fan favorite in our home. The Monster version of the little trucks above. Hours of entertainment.

Matchbox Garbage Truck: Finishing this timeframe out strong with the Trucks!

Tonka – Steel Classics 4×4 Pick Up Truck: More truck options!

Joyin 4 Pack Friction Powered City Vehicles: Even more Truck options! I swear he cannot have enough Trucks.

Step2 Whisper Ride On Push Car: This was a gift for his first birthday and was perfect timing. He loves to be outside and see all around him. The first day we took him out in it he had such a great time. We got this during the summer and I was worried about there not being any cover. He has very fair skin and is constantly doused in sunscreen. We ended up buying a special umbrella that we could attach to it to cover him! Here is the umbrella attachment if that is a concern for your toddler as well. Sport-Brella Versa-Brella SPF 50+ Adjustable Umbrella with Universal Clamp.

Kids Outdoor Wooden Sandbox with Cover: If you don’t have a park nearby, you can bring the sandbox home with you! It even has a cover to keep the sun off your toddler and yourself if needed.

18-24 Months

LeapFrog Learning Friends 100 Words Book: This could go in the age group above as well, but it was definitely great for post 18 months for us. They also have other versions of it, all animals, etc.

Joovy Tricycoo 4.1 Kid’s Tricycle, Push Tricycle, Toddler Trike: This is definitely for a little later, around the 24 months. Great way to start the transition and teaching them how to use a tricycle, etc.

ANIMAL ISLAND Aila Sit & Play Plus Virtual Learning System: A great item for Toddlers that are too young for preschool but are able to sit and focus on something for little bits at a time. Probably best for closer to 24 months.

Trail Explorer 12V Power Children Power Wheel Truck with R/C Parental Remote: My son got this when he was about 20 months and it was perfect. It depends on how advanced your toddler is physically and if you think they would do well with something like this. On the pricier side as well.

Kidzone 12V Kids Toy Electric Bumper Car Vehicle with Remote Control: Power Wheels are definitely on the higher end of cost for Toddler toys and are usually recommended for a slightly older age bracket, but it has a remote control so that it can be controlled by the parent. I would not recommend this till at least 2 years old and even then, don’t let them control it themselves till they are ready!

We did a lot of research on all of the different ones, this is a double seater so that our daughter will be able to ride with him when she gets old enough or he can take friends with them. We also wanted it to last so that it can be passed down to her as well. That is our motto with most toys/supplies/equipment, etc. We buy mostly gender neutral items when we can that will last through multiple children 🙂

Bath Toys: 12-24 Months

ZHENDUO Baby Bath Toys, Whale Automatic Spray Water Bath Toy with LED Light: My son has been fascinated with water since he was born. He loves the spray from the shower head/faucet and loves this toy too. He tries to grab the water spraying up, its so cute!

HOLYFUN Baby Bath Toy, Interactive Light Up & Musical Bathtub Toys: We got this when my son was about 18 months. Probably could have used it a few months earlier as he started getting pretty bored with his other bath toys.

Honeysticks Bath Crayons for Toddlers & Kids: Definitely a toddler bath toy. Introduce when you think they are ready.

Books

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?: This was my sons first favorite book. He absolutely LOVED moving the slides back and forth on the pages. He would do it over and over!

First 100 Words: A Padded Board Book: He loves this one too, points to each item and we tell him what it is, then we would ask him where each item was on the page.

Goodnight Moon: We introduced this book when we switched up his bedtime routine and started reading him books before bed. My son is very picky with his books and this one has made it through!

Disney Baby – My First Library: Disney has a whole series; Winnie the Poo, Disney’s Pixar, Muppet Babies, etc. Great collections to have in your babies library.

My First Library : Boxset of 10 Board Books for Kids: #1 Best Seller on Amazon. Good variety of topics to work with.

Where Do Diggers Sleep at Night?: Had to throw in a truck book of course! Fan Favorite in our house 🙂

Where’s Spot?: Also an Amazon #1 Best Seller. My son loves Dogs as well so he really likes this book.
